HOW BLACK APRON BEEF IS BRINGING QUALITY TO YOUR DINNER PLATE
Since its inception, NOtaBLE has always sought out the best suppliers to make everything on the menu a memorable experience for guests. This month, we’re excited to welcome a new supplier to the family whose beliefs in producing the best quality ingredients ring true with the NOtaBLE kitchen.
In 2016, terms like “hormone free” and “sustainably raised” are used liberally in the restaurant business, and in many ways, this free-range philosophy is no longer a trend, but an expectation. For this reason, we’re highlighting a producer that truly walks the walk when it comes to serving the best possible product.
As a trailblazer in the beef industry, Black Apron brought the concept of ‘Farm to Table’ to Western Canada decades before many others. In 1978, Black Apron began operations in LaCombe, Alberta, raising and butchering premium Black Angus cattle.
Today, Black Apron cattle roam freely on the best ranch lands of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Described as the “crème de la crème” for meat lovers, all the cattle under the Black Apron brand are required to bear the Black Angus Label ( the highest certification producers can receive). In short, this label brings the guarantee of carefully selected and humanely treated animals that are 100% antibiotic and hormone free.
If a succulent striploin steak is on your mind, Black Apron on the menu means you’re in for a perfectly marbled meal. If a NOtaBLE burger is what you crave, you can look forward to sinking your teeth into something juicy and delicious – exactly how ‘Farm to Table’ should be.
