SAY HELLO TO A FEW OF THE FRIENDLY FACES WHO WORK AT NOTABLE
At NOtaBLE, we tend to think of everyone as one big family. If you’re a regular at the restaurant, then you’ve probably had the pleasure of getting to know some of the staff over the past few years. If not, here’s a quick and fun introduction to some of the front-of-house team that you’ll meet when you dine with us.
“It’s a good place to be for comfort food, when the leaves are falling and the weather is getting cooler,” says Myles our bar manager when we asked him about working the bar at NOtaBLE this time of year. Around here, he’s known as the guy that always has the very best wine recommendations. Next time you’re in for lunch or dinner, ask him for a suggestion. Chances are good, he’ll turn you onto a good Canadian producer.
Best part of working at NOtaBLE? “I don’t have family here in Calgary, but I have my restaurant family,” says our assistant restaurant manager who’s celebrating five years at the restaurant this month. She’s runs a tight ship, she’s an accomplished cheerleader and she’s an burgeoning wine collector (100 bottles and counting). So who’s hosting the staff Christmas party this year? We vote for Kaitlin.
Carolyn is in her last year of Education at the U of C and has been at NOtaBLE for almost four years now. In her opinion, this time of year is the best for dining. With the days getting shorter, the nights are cozy inside when you grab a table or bar seat around the rotisserie. Her personal menu picks include the Crispy Potato Rolls and the Spartan General cocktail, with spices and orange bitter notes – the perfect combination for studying we’ve been told.
